Mountain Biking Costa Rica Trails
Mountain Biking Costa Rica Trails
Ride, Explore, and Unwind in Costa Rica’s Green Highlands
If you love the feeling of riding wild trails, crossing rivers, and tackling rolling hills under a jungle canopy, our mountain biking getaway is ready for you. Tucked away in the highlands near Turrialba, our property is the kind of place that makes every ride feel fresh, with miles of forest paths, open spaces, and clean air that clears your head.
Some guests come to push themselves on steeper climbs. Others want easy loops and river crossings. Whatever your style, you’ll find trails here that let you enjoy Costa Rica’s natural beauty at your own pace.
Why Ride Here
At about 1,000 meters above sea level, you get mild temperatures year-round, not too hot for uphill rides, not too cold for early morning starts. It’s a balance that keeps you comfortable while you ride through old coffee groves, forest trails, and open fields.
You’re never far from a view, or a break spot by the river. If you need a snack, rest by a waterfall or dip your feet in a natural pool before you pedal back. No crowds, no big groups. Just you, your bike, and the open trail.
Trails for All Levels
Our trails range from simple, flat paths perfect for warm-ups or beginners, to more challenging routes with climbs, muddy patches, and rough edges that keep more experienced riders engaged.
Some loops follow the river and pass small waterfalls. Others wind higher up for panoramic views of the mountains. You can ride alone, plan a route with our maps, or get a few local tips from our staff before you head out.
Bring your own bike or use ours, we have well-kept mountain bikes and helmets you can borrow if you’d rather travel light.

Little Things Riders Love
Every mountain biker knows it’s not just the trails that make a good ride, it’s all the little things that come with it. Here are a few extra details that guests often mention when they talk about their biking adventure here:
- Rinsing Off Under a Waterfall: There’s nothing like cooling down after a long, muddy ride. Some riders roll straight off the trail, leave the bike by the rocks, and stand under a fresh mountain waterfall to rinse off the sweat and dust.
- Morning Coffee with a View: Many guests wake up early, grab a strong cup of our estate-grown coffee, and watch the mist lift off the hills while they check their tires and plan the day’s ride.
- Wildlife on the Trail: It’s not unusual to brake for a line of colorful butterflies, spot a curious sloth high in a tree, or see a toucan swoop overhead while you’re coasting downhill. You might even pause to listen, no city noise here, just birds and river sounds.
- No Rush, No Crowds: One of the biggest surprises for many guests is how quiet it is here. You might see another rider on the trail, but you won’t be fighting for space or waiting in line. Ride when you want, stop when you want, it’s that simple.
- Strong Wi-Fi for Ride Videos: If you want to upload your route, share clips with friends back home, or check tomorrow’s weather, you can. Every cabin and common area has strong Wi-Fi so you can stay as plugged in, or unplugged, as you want.
This is how we like to keep mountain biking in Costa Rica: wild, refreshing, and just a bit unexpected.
