OUR COFFEE STORY

Grown where rainforest meets sky.

The coffee at Rivel grows on the slopes of the estate, where cool mountain air, volcanic soil and clean rain shape every harvest.

The rhythm of the farm follows the land: mornings begin with birdsong, afternoons are spent among the rows, and each cherry is selected by hand at peak ripeness. That care is what gives Arabica Supremo its depth.

Estate coffee is available through the Rivel boutique, and groups can ask about larger orders for their team, event or business.

CRAFTED WITH PASSION

The art of coffee at Rivel Estate.

  • Bean to cup

The complete journey from plantation to your cup. Each bean is carefully nurtured, harvested at peak ripeness and roasted to bring out the character of Costa Rica.

  • Sustainable farming

Growing with respect for the soil, the forest and the biodiversity around the plants, so the land stays as healthy as the coffee it produces.

  • Costa Rican heritage

Rooted in Costa Rica's coffee-growing tradition. The elevation, volcanic soil and microclimate give this coffee a character found nowhere else.

CRAFTED IN THE HEART OF COSTA RICA

Rivel Estate Arabica Supremo.

A carefully crafted blend of two exceptional coffee plant varieties, chosen for the character they bring to the cup.

Obata

A Brazilian-developed hybrid, a cross between Timor Hybrid and Villa Sarchi. It is compact in stature and resistant to coffee leaf rust and nematodes.

Costa Rica 95

A descendant of Timor Hybrid and Caturra, CR95 is known for its dwarf stature and its adaptability to hot climates and acidic soils.

IN THE CUP

Breathe in the aroma, a blend of citrusy brightness and hints of dark chocolate, woven together with the subtle earthiness of volcanic soil. Take a sip and the vibrant flavours dance on the palate, finishing rich and lingering.

  • Elevation

Grown at altitude, in the cooler air of the Costa Rican mountains.

  • Volcanic soil

Rich Central Valley soil that gives the beans their depth.

  • Mountain rain

Fed by pure mountain rain that keeps the plants vibrant.
